All I can say is “WOW”! Carole had everything set up perfectly for her second daughter’s newborn session! The nursery was impeccable with gorgeous decorations and sweet touches. Can I just point out that when I first entered the nursery, the first thing I saw was REPTAR IN THE CRIB!? Does anybody else know who Reptar is?? It made me laugh and I had to ask Carole about it. Apparently, it was just a random toy picked out at the hospital. But, I was still tickled that this sweet little girl would grow up with a toy from my childhood. I can almost imagine little Tommy Pickles sleeping with his Reptar doll in his crib, just like Indie! She also had matching outfits made that said “Big Sister” and “Little Sister” for her two daughters!

I’m not going to lie…I was a little worried about this session because Indigo was almost FOUR WEEKS old when we did her newborn shoot! You can’t even tell, can you? Just as Carole predicted, Indigo made an early appearance in July while my husband, Brian, and I were out of town on our anniversary trip. Thankfully, Indigo was a pro and drifted off to sleep right when it was time for her close ups!

Thank you again, Grant, Carole, Emery and Indigo for welcoming us into your home and sharing this special time with us! We pray for many blessings for your family!

Emily and Daniel had a perfect country wedding at Reunion Ranch in Georgetown, Texas. Everything was decorated with lace, burlap and sunflowers! I love that Daniel and Emily decided to do a first look. We had private, uninterrupted time for their bride and groom portraits together. It helped everyone feel relaxed and happy throughout the photos and it truly shows! Not to mention, the two had a chance to really soak it all in and have some special time together before everything got busy!

This wedding was full of fun surprises along the way! The father of the bride carried a selfie stick down the aisle to snap a quick photo before he gave away the bride! Then, the bride’s pastor made her a “sock necklace” which he presented to her at the end of the ceremony. Want to know why? Go check out the photo below! AND the bride and her dad had one unforgettable father daughter dance! Actually, the whole family did! 🙂

Thank you again Parma and Brinker family for being such amazing folks to work with! Congratulations to Emily and Daniel!

Instead of a unity candle or unity sand, etc. Emily and Daniel put together a cross- so awesome!

BrinkerWedding61

And then came the sock necklace for Emily! Her pastor talked about how when he would stay with her family, when she was young, he would find her socks in his bed in case his feet got cold. Too funny!

Mando and Stephanie were wed at La Escondida in Helotes, TX with their sweet son, Lucas, by their side every step of the way. The day was humid and the threat of rain was imminent; but, thankfully, we had overcast skies and the sun even peaked through the clouds briefly during the ceremony. Everything was perfect from the blush peonies to the charcoal gray suits. The reception was decorated with twinkle lights, a cascading chandelier, and funky decorations like mix-matched chairs and tree trunks. There were old doors with sheer curtains that welcomed you into the ceremony and the alter was made with a drapery of floating flowers. It screamed romantic and rustic!

Thank you again, Mando and Stephanie for letting me be a part of your special day!

I knew Taylor and Levi were going to be an awesome couple when I found out they were engaged at Disney World!!! Haha! I love all things Disney and it tickled me that Taylor wanted to incorporate their Disney “just engaged” buttons and a hand crafted burlap banner with Minnie and Mickey Mouse on it!

We spent the entire session at Martha’s Bloomers in Navasota, TX. I have been to Martha’s Bloomers before (just for fun!) and they have the neatest gift shop, gardens, and cute little tea room! If you are a garden lover- this place is fabulous! I was excited that Taylor picked this location because I knew it would be beautiful and quirky! These two battled some serious humidity with us during their session, however, they didn’t complain once and stuck it out like troopers throughout the greenhouse and gardens. Taylor and Levi are such a fun and sweet couple! Taylor has the most beautiful, giddy smile and she couldn’t hide it when she was around Levi. 🙂

I’m so looking forward to their wedding in September! Thank you again, Taylor and Levi!

I am so honored to have been there to photograph these sweet friends’ engagement, wedding, and now birth of their baby girl, Emmalee! I love all of Emma’s gorgeous outfits and sweet touches in her nursery. Emma has blankets, pillows, and even a newborn dress that has been a part of the family for generations. At 7 days new, Emma was sleeping the majority of the time, but she peeked her eyes open to say hello occasionally! I was really excited when Mandy mentioned her love for rustic props and pulled out a vintage scale, crocheted blankets, and a cool metal wash tub! We had a lot of fun choosing outfits and wraps for Emma.

Congratulations, Chris and Mandy, on the birth of your beautiful little girl! Thank you for letting me photograph the newest addition to your family!
