I giggled with glee when I walked into the St. Paul United Methodist Church for the first time. The stained glass, the piano, the chandeliers, and the long wall of windows overlooking a courtyard- it’s what church wedding dreams are made of! Taylor and Levi married on a gorgeous September day (even though the wind was quite ferocious! You’ll see what I mean later! Haha).

I loved all of Taylor and Levi’s personal touches throughout the day. Levi wore Darth Vader cuff links and his groomsmen had storm trooper cuff links. Oh, and Levi’s best man was his sister! What an awesome sibling relationship! Taylor wore garters with Darth Vader and Princess Leia leggo characters on them. Also, Taylor LOVES Beauty and the Beast and she had a beautiful inscription of The Beast and Belle on her personalized wooden hanger for her wedding dress.

Taylor and Levi’s wedding party was also one of the best I have ever had the privilege to work with! The groomsmen and bridesmaids were so kind and fun! They did everything I asked with no hesitation- talk about a photographer’s dream! Congratulations again, Levi and Taylor! Capturing your wedding day was such an honor!

Most gorgeous, adorable, and sweetest couple EVER alert!!! Yep, they get three titles! Hazel and Conner are some of the most fun and kind-hearted folks I have had the privilege to photograph! We spent the beginning of their session in downtown Boerne, then wrapped everything up at the Cibolo Nature Center. I was SO excited when Hazel first contacted me and mentioned that she would love to photograph at the Cibolo Nature Center. Seriously, it is one of my favorite spots!!! You just can’t beat the creek, the grassy fields, and all that gorgeous golden hour light!

These two also get double kudos for being so positive throughout their session (even when the humidity was making them sweat and they had to fight off some mosquitoes!). I had them snuggled up close in the heat for some romantic shots and they didn’t complain once! The love in their eyes when they are around each other is obvious! We shot well after the sun had set and while we were walking back to the car we noticed the lightning bugs in the brush. Can you spot them in the last photo?

Hazel and Conner, you both were such a joy to work with! We can’t wait for your wedding in April!

Nick and Krystal had the most perfect wedding day at Seventh and James Baptist Church in Waco, TX on August 13th. Everything was absolutely stunning;  from the centerpieces made with gold and rose touches, lanterns, and candles to the amazing bouquets and sequin bridesmaid dresses! Krystal and Nick’s love for each other radiates from them, but so does their love for the Lord. They took communion during their ceremony, which I thought was one of the greatest things I had ever seen on a wedding day! They had a lot of other personal touches, like a reading from Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis and an “Always” wedding cake topper. All of these details fit Krystal and Nick so well! Also, Nick lost his best man, Raj, last year. They chose to leave a space for him during the ceremony and lit a candle in his honor.

Thank you again for letting me document one of the best days of your lives, Krystal and Nick! It was an honor to witness the commitment you two made to each other.

All I can say is “WOW”! Carole had everything set up perfectly for her second daughter’s newborn session! The nursery was impeccable with gorgeous decorations and sweet touches. Can I just point out that when I first entered the nursery, the first thing I saw was REPTAR IN THE CRIB!? Does anybody else know who Reptar is?? It made me laugh and I had to ask Carole about it. Apparently, it was just a random toy picked out at the hospital. But, I was still tickled that this sweet little girl would grow up with a toy from my childhood. I can almost imagine little Tommy Pickles sleeping with his Reptar doll in his crib, just like Indie! She also had matching outfits made that said “Big Sister” and “Little Sister” for her two daughters!

I’m not going to lie…I was a little worried about this session because Indigo was almost FOUR WEEKS old when we did her newborn shoot! You can’t even tell, can you? Just as Carole predicted, Indigo made an early appearance in July while my husband, Brian, and I were out of town on our anniversary trip. Thankfully, Indigo was a pro and drifted off to sleep right when it was time for her close ups!

Thank you again, Grant, Carole, Emery and Indigo for welcoming us into your home and sharing this special time with us! We pray for many blessings for your family!

Emily and Daniel had a perfect country wedding at Reunion Ranch in Georgetown, Texas. Everything was decorated with lace, burlap and sunflowers! I love that Daniel and Emily decided to do a first look. We had private, uninterrupted time for their bride and groom portraits together. It helped everyone feel relaxed and happy throughout the photos and it truly shows! Not to mention, the two had a chance to really soak it all in and have some special time together before everything got busy!

This wedding was full of fun surprises along the way! The father of the bride carried a selfie stick down the aisle to snap a quick photo before he gave away the bride! Then, the bride’s pastor made her a “sock necklace” which he presented to her at the end of the ceremony. Want to know why? Go check out the photo below! AND the bride and her dad had one unforgettable father daughter dance! Actually, the whole family did! 🙂

Thank you again Parma and Brinker family for being such amazing folks to work with! Congratulations to Emily and Daniel!

Instead of a unity candle or unity sand, etc. Emily and Daniel put together a cross- so awesome!

And then came the sock necklace for Emily! Her pastor talked about how when he would stay with her family, when she was young, he would find her socks in his bed in case his feet got cold. Too funny!
