Arwen is officially a two year old and she seems pretty excited about it! It is such an amazing honor to have grown up with her mother; then, to photograph her maternity, newborn, 1st birthday and now 2nd birthday. Don’t mind me as I get a little teary eyed over the thought! I love you guys!

Y’all might recognize this beautiful gal from our princess photo shoot a couple years ago; she modeled as Sleeping Beauty! You can check it out here. I was so excited when Melissa and Ashley came back to me for Ashley’s senior session. Ashley is so easy to photograph, but not because she’s gorgeous (even though she is, duh!). Ashley has such a fun personality! She had her mom and me cracking up the entire time! I also love how Ashley has a positive outlook about everything; even when the “17” balloons kept blowing around her face in the wind while we were trying to snap that perfect shot. She just laughed it off! Ashley’s playful spirit shines through in her images and that made it so easy to photograph her.

Ashley is a part of so many organizations! She ran track and cross country, is a member of the National Honor Society, and a member in Yearbook. She also loves art- hence, the last few photos of this post (girl after my own heart). Ashley is so excited to graduate and attend college! Congratulations, Ashley! May God give you strength and courage in the next adventure of your life!

I was really excited when Mollie suggested using her husband’s family farm as a back drop for their family photos. She talked about the gorgeous trees and green pastures; sounds like perfection to me! The day was cold and drizzly, but this family was so upbeat and really made the most of the session! Also, there may have been a chicken or two that made the cut for the blog…haha

Thanks again, Drew family! You are all so sweet and funny! It was an honor to photograph y’all!

Susan and Brandon are so creative! They had the amazing idea of letting Amelia play with paints on a canvas for her 2nd birthday session. The result is a canvas with Amelia’s name for Susan and Brandon to keep forever. Amelia loved it! She had so much fun that she just HAD to get mom and dad in on the action, haha! Oh, and Shadow too! There may or may not have been paint on everyone involved by the end of this session…

I can’t believe Amelia is two years old! It’s such an honor to watch her grow and document these milestones for her parents. Thanks again, friends!

Joshua and Hannah married at sunset under a giant oak tree beside the ocean with all their family and friends. It doesn’t get any better than that! From Hannah’s floral head piece to Joshua’s gray tux- all of the details were amazing!

It was the first time I photographed a wedding by the water and I can’t wait to do it again! The family had reserved the entire B&B, Captain’s Quarters, for the big day. The third level of the B&B was a room with floor to ceiling windows and french doors that led out to a balcony facing the ocean. The view was stunning! I’m so pleased with how all of Hannah’s “getting ready” shots turned out in the room.

I was truly moved by the emotion on their wedding day. Of course, Hannah and Joshua shed a few tears (more than once, haha!), but so did Hannah’s mom and sisters and other family members. When Joshua’s dad teared up with pride looking at his son while Josh pinned on his boutonniere, when Hannah’s mom gave her away, and when Hannah’s sister, Ashley, gave her toast to the newlyweds….SO many moments that made me tear up too! I am so thankful that I get to document memories such as these.

Thank you, Hannah and Joshua, for letting me be a part of your day! You two are beautiful together!
